Repair and waterproofing products often travel long distances to projects with fixed dates, so packing quality is part of the product.

Export Packing

25 kg PE-lined paper sacks on shrink-wrapped pallets are the standard for sea freight. The lining keeps humidity out; the wrapping keeps the pallet together through transhipment.

For humid destinations, ask for desiccant in the container and confirm that the sacks are not stacked against the container walls where condensation forms.

Documentation

Confirm the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of analysis and safety data sheet before loading. Each of them is harder to obtain once the container has sailed.

Where the destination requires a certificate of origin or a registration number, the file has to be prepared at order stage rather than at shipment.

Project Supply

For project quantities, agree delivery windows against the construction programme and confirm who is responsible for unloading.

Keep a small buffer at the project site rather than at the port. Powder that sits in a container for a month before installation is powder that has been through repeated temperature cycles.
