Silo delivery, big bags or 25 kg sacks: packing choice changes the landed cost of MP2701 more than most buyers expect.
A multi-purpose grade is bought in volume by definition, so the packing decision deserves the same attention as the price.
25 kg sacks suit plants that batch by bag and have no bulk unloading. Big bags suit plants with a weigh hopper and a forklift. Bulk tankers suit plants with a silo and a pneumatic line.
Each step up in bulk removes handling labour and adds infrastructure requirements. The cheapest format is the one that matches the equipment you already have.
Pallets of 25 kg sacks fill a container by weight before volume in most configurations. Big bags load faster and use the weight limit more efficiently.
Confirm the load plan with the supplier and check the pallet height against your racking before the container is booked.
Ask for the price per tonne at each packing format. The gap between formats is often larger than the gap between two suppliers quoting the same format.
Factor in the cost of unloading and internal transport. A cheaper bag that needs two people and half a shift to unload is not cheaper.
The grade this note is about, and two that sit next to it in the range.
Send the mortar system, the grade you are considering and the volume you plan for. The reply comes back with a dosage recommendation and a quotation.
