Annual volume, packing, destination port and formulation target: what a supplier needs before an FX2350 quotation is useful.
Most quotations that cannot be used are missing information rather than price. A supplier who knows the volume, the packing and the target can quote a number you can plan around.
State annual volume and the number of orders it will be split into. A supplier who sees one 60 tonne order quotes differently from one who sees four 15 tonne orders.
Frequency also tells the supplier how much stock to hold for you. Regular monthly shipment is easier to serve than a single order with a short deadline.
Give the packing format, the pallet standard and the destination port or inland point. Freight to a northern European port and to an inland terminal in Asia are different problems.
If you need export documentation for a specific market, say so at enquiry stage. Retrospective paperwork requests are the most common reason a shipment waits.
Describe what the powder has to achieve: impact class for a base coat, adhesion on a specific insulation board, or open time on a warm site. A supplier can then recommend a grade and a dosage band.
Ask for the technical data sheet with the quotation. Comparing prices without the ash value and film forming temperature compares different products.
The grade this note is about, and two that sit next to it in the range.
Send the mortar system, the grade you are considering and the volume you plan for. The reply comes back with a dosage recommendation and a quotation.
